What happens if you are married in CT then move to South carolina and decide you can't stand each other anymore?
Maybe today's not the day to think about those things.

If I ran this circus, things would be DIFFERENT!

And is already keeping the legal wonks busy.
Two stories from 2010, both Texas, two different outcomes.

A state appeals court in Dallas has rejected a lower court's decision that two gay men who married in Massachusetts had the right to divorce in Texas.
As previously noted, Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott is working hard to uphold the Texas law banning same sex marriage, by preventing same sex divorce. According to the Houston Chronicle, a lesbian couple who were legally married in Massachusetts and later moved to Texas, have agreed to, and received a divorce. On February 10, Travis County state district Judge Scott Jenkins granted the divorce to Sabina Daly, 41, of San Antonio, and Angelique Naylor, 39, of Austin. The one party who did not agree was of course, Texas AG Greg Abbott.

A nice color coded map  on how the various states handle divorce of out of state gay marriages.

“Texas is a so-called red state, but you’ve got 10 million Democrats here in Texas. And …, there are a whole lot of people here in Texas who need us, and who need us to fight for them.” President Obama
