  •  If we wait for demographics to shift far enough (14+ / 0-)

    we'll be waiting a long time, and the GOP will be able to inflict more misery unchecked on the good people of Texas. The time is now, while the memory of the filibuster is still fresh. The votes are already there, we just need someone to energize those that think there's no point to voting right now. Even if Perry wins in a tighter than expected race to her, it'll put the fear of god in the hearts of the GOP everywhere that she was even close in Texas. That alone would be a huge accomplishment, and might at the very least make the GOP think twice before enacting an extremist agenda.

      Texas House was almost evenly split with the Democrats only needing two more seats to capture the Texas House.

      It can be done. That's what Battlefield Texas is setup to do.
