    Your comment makes no sense. I get what you are saying about the irony of my statement, this was typed rather quickly and I did not quite catch that sentence (I agree, it is clumsily worded); however, the reason the progress comes so slowly is not because of such a statement, but because there are people in this world who are intolerant of anything that moves our society forward.

    I do not hate them for this; however, once their arguments have been dis-proven then they either need to catch up with the rest of society or society has the right to ignore their dissenting opinions. That is what I was trying to say in that sentence.

    We should not be held back by people wanting to live in a fictional version of the 1950s.

      a textbook case of irony the way you worded it. And kind of amusing. I didn't even notice until you took it personally. And it's okay to say "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it any more!" You do not have to tolerate what you think is wrong. But it does shed some light on how strongly people may feel on both sides of the question. And not allowing you to voice a strong opinion only demonstrates what Activistguy said above:

      it's a rigged game which requires daintiness from advocates of justice, while voices for injustice have no such limitation.
