    What you are saying is what a reasonable person would say.  You are being cautious and that is smart.

    The problem for me is that I am tired of giving this administration and the previous administrations (going back to Reagan) the benfit of the doubt.  I have started just playing the odds and assuming the worst.  It seems more efficient that way.  I am wrong less often and when I am, I am pleasantly surprised.

    I know I have become a cynic, I wasn't always like this, but I think the last gasp of enthusiasm escaped my body after the build up around the 2008 presidential election and the subsequent release over the last four and a half years has left me drained.

    I have no doubt that you are correct and that we should wait and see if this is the scandal it portends to be but I am tired so I think I'll just skip right to the conviction.  I'll try to keep an open mind during the appeal.
