    He was in the 1st Pennsylvania Reserves. We found his name on the Pennsylvania memorial when we toured the battlefield.

    I actually have his bayonet and what's left of the scabbard (the leather has mostly rotted but the metal parts are intact).

    My father says that when he was growing up the family still had his uniform and some other items, which were apparently sold off - much to my father's displeasure.

    If the pilot's good, see, I mean if he's reeeally sharp, he can barrel that baby in so low... oh you oughta see it sometime. It's a sight. A big plane like a '52... varrrooom! Its jet exhaust... frying chickens in the barnyard!
