issues and work in tech and the unions always complain about how tech is so hard to organize. I'm sitting here telling them exactly what it would take, because I'm living it. I haven't had time to get in touch with the IWW, although I'm technically still a member. I need to do that.

Those were the old days when the members in the shops did the organizing and were supported by the union.

      Now they send in "professionals."

So... (as Dr Phil would say), how's that working out for us?

Good for you AoT. I need to get back in touch with IWW also. Let my dues lapse long ago. No excuse. I need to join up again. I used to be what's called a "double header." a member of an AFL-CIO union for practical reasons, and a member of the IWW for idealistic reasons.

But if enuf of us joined the IWW, it could be much more than just idealism.

is better for practical reasons. At least in my industry. I'm applying to work at a worker run, worker owned coop in the next couple of days so hopefully this will be a problem of the past.
