    that the installer has been lost than to risk legal problems for your company with pirated software.  However, if you still have your legitimate activation code, it shouldn't matter where you get the installer (Unless the activation code is generated on their server and encoded into the binary of the installer, but most do not do it this way).

    Did you use the activation code that came with the purchased software?

    Also, typo in your title.  Change to "How to Manage if You've Lost Your important Installer?" and generate more replies.

      Thats one of the things that sometimes are bundled with pirated copies.

        is pretty much a certainty these days.  And since it sounds as if the pirated software was subsequently installed on many computers, the entire network will now likely have to be scrubbed and rebuilt.  Methinks the boss (sys admin?), too, will soon find himself hunting for new employment.
