    directly comes from wanting to maintain state secrets defenses.

    It's secret because it's classified even though it's public.

    And the army must block the Guardian pages that everyone is reading, to maintain that absurdity.

      That makes sense.

      In a thoroughly perverse sort of way.

      Perverse for a democracy, that is.

      It seems the "power elite" no longer think democracy is even a desirable thing.

      Except as a thin, phony veneer.

      You can say anything you want.

      You can even win on a culture issue or two.

      Just don't get in the way of the military, the spies, or the banks.
