  •  I'm pretty sure that when something is published (3+ / 0-)

    in one of the most widely-read newspapers on the planet, it's no longer "classified".  Not in any meaningful sense.

    But of course I am entirely open to hearing any argument as to why troops should be prevented from reading something in a newspaper, and what harm can come from allowing troops to read something that has already been published in a newspaper for the whole world to see.

    Is it just in case the terrorist moles inside the US Army don't read newspapers?

    Or is it just silly bureaucratic crap without any logical justification behind it?
