  •  We don't need oversight, it needs to be stopped. (22+ / 0-)

This is not for our security, it's for the security of the plutocracy.  We are the enemy in all this, the adversary they need to control as they become ever more brazen in stealing everything in sight.
    Accept nothing less.

...cannot be forced. We need this debate in this country while it still possible. It will not be possible after another huge attack. Some do not see liberty and security as mutually exclusive, others do. Let us decide through the political process.

Frankly,I'm ok with them spying on China and Russia and Iran and North Korea among others. They can harvest every bit of their data they can get to. I have no doubt that given the opportunity, those countries, among others, would do, and are trying to do, the same to us.

I do think it is time for people to realize the true price of all this wonderful technology we love to use. Too bad they didn't build the stuff with privacy in mind. If people aren't using encryption and other defensive measures to make themselves less vulnerable, then they don't expect it to be done for you by our fellow citizens in the government.

The plutocracy doesn't need the NSA to rule either.

The politicians may be bought, and the system corrupt, but it is our duty to fix these things.

the political process, like the law, is an ass. And both are fucked.

All this happened, more or less. The war parts, anyway, are pretty much true. - Kurt Vonnegut
It's a very frightening time when something as basic as due process is seen as somehow radical. - John Cusack
