You can trust Paula Deen's sworn deposition testimony.

I'm not sure what conspiracy theory you're peddling.  The Food Network always secretly wanted to fire a popular host?  Was she going to expose its complicity in PRISM?  I'm not sure what the "set up" theory is here.

I've never said she wasn't a racist. My point has been mostly that she is not the problem. There is a racist culture out there and I think it's all being put on her which is not fair. Not saying I believe she should keep her job either. It's just complicated. But if people would rather attack me than listen to what I'm saying so be it.

I don't know who might have set her up. One of her competitors. I find it hilarious that all of a sudden the corporate world cares about racism. They've never cared much before.

That's an interesting observation. I wonder if she was making noises about more money when her contract came up for renewal, or if she demanded more shows for her relatives, or just pissed somebody off.

I certainly wouldn't put it past them, and any of her corporate masters, to make an example of her. The public wouldn't necessarily know (and they certainly wouldn't tell anybody) but the other hosts at food network likely would.

I can't imagine that the others don't have dirt in their pasts, disgruntled employees, lawsuits, etc.
