  •  I think he wants (5+ / 0-)

to make it an issue in the midterms: Do you want to vote for the crazy deniers or do you want to vote for common sense?

He's committed the executive branch to taking action. I think he knows that history will base as much of its judgment on how he handled climate change as it will civil rights or the economy. I expect this to be a drumbeat from now on from him.

    •  There will always be a hard core right (4+ / 0-)

composed of about 25-30% of the US population and they are concentrated in the midwest and south. Sure there are a few centrist republicans but not many. The human caused climate change deniers will always be a small but loud group who will return the same people to congress election after election to throw wrenches in the works and stop any action on climate change.

As the years go on and more of these deniers are replaced by younger political leaders we will get some real action. It won't happen overnight though.

Knowledge is Power. Ignorance is not bliss, it is suffering. If you like hypocrite Obama, you'll love hypocrite Hillary.

or so radio stations yelling over its shoulder and our environmental orgs ignore that- and they ignore the fact that many of our universities endorse probably 30% + of those stations.

This is a list of 76 universities for Rush Limbaugh that endorse global warming denial, racism, sexism, and GOP lies by broadcasting sports on over 170 Limbaugh radio stations.
