  •  I don't believe it's up to you (0+ / 0-)

to decide what is good for others if their beliefs don't affect you.

And if you think their beliefs are affecting you, well, that's illogical. It's not their beliefs affecting you, it's their actions that are. So address their actions.

I often say that I don't care if you are a racist, a homophobe, a misogynist, a fundamental Christian, etc.: just keep those nasty hateful ideas locked in your tiny little brain and we'll have  no problems. It's when you try to change me and make my life more difficult that we have problems.

And if you didn't catch what I said, I'll repeat that,

It's when you try to change me
As they say, if the shoe fits....

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.

    •  There is no such thing (0+ / 0-)

as a racist, homophobic, misogynistic, or fundamentalist idea that only affects the person thinking it and nobody else.  The idea that this sort of thing is completely irrelevant to anyone else is horseshit.

You can't assert the religion has no effect on anyone other than the believer if you have even the slightest knowledge of politics.
