    They had power once, they'll have no qualms taking it back. SCAF has never backed the Morsi government.

      the presidency against his will. The Ekhwan and the Islamists would go crazy against such a move. If one thing is true, no matter how many people protest Morsi, the country's strongest political force is the Ekhwan, and they will go ape-shit if the army would be ridiculous enough to violate a democratic election -- no matter how bad or unpopular the guy is.

      These protests are politically important, but my gut tells me the media is over-exaggerating what kind of outcomes we will have.

      The SCAF's statement was vague and contradictory, it suggests they are trying to pressure Morsi, but by no means will they take physical action.
