    This is significant. They had wanted to pass these measures in dark of night and without any fanfare. Now the GOP Womb Monitors will have to make a much more visible and audible display of their intentions. We're going to have a month of stories before it's over. There will be bravado where the plan was for there to have been silence. There will be grandstanding and high-fiving where the plan had been backpatting in cover of darkness. As galling as it will be to accept the "victory" of the Texas GOP as they trample on the rights of women (with the damage falling disproportionately, as usual, on the poor and indigent), it's healthy to have the debate in the open and to see how mean-spirited and cruel these policies truly are.

      they can't sneak it this time, and also get it passed. So that was another service done by Davis, Dems, and their supporters: forcing this out into the open.
