son, and an African-Mexican heritage daughter. I am of European ancestry.  Adoption is not easy PERIOD, and generalities about why and how babies of different racial backgrounds and sexes are adopted fail to recognize what a Rubick's cube decisions about adoption are.

One group of people will say that it's racism at work when white parents adopt non-African children while another group will compare white parent's adopting black children as a sign of colonial and cultural genocide.

I do know that white families passed on the chance to adopt my son and my daughter, possibly due to race.  While I wonder if it is stupid racism that drove these decisions, I also know that  being a minority child in a family where aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. will not accept a child who isn't white, is a terrible burden to place on an innocent child.

I don't doubt that forced birthers dream of the "good ole days" when a forced birth turned into a forced adoption.  But again, having some experience in the area (I gave birth to, and chose to raise a child when I was young and single back in the day) I think that this has largely to do with RWers' desire to force a narrow view on the proper role of women in this society:  Sex only after marriage, and only to satisfy the husband's sexual drive (Viagra!) and produce babies. Any woman who deviates must have the scarlet "A" slapped on her chest!
