  •  Fun historical fact on PHC (0+ / 0-)

That madrassa (and that's exactly what it is, make no mistake) was founded by another Virginia nutjob Lt Gov candidate, Mike Farris, who was not only a fundie, but also a supporter of the so-called "Quiverfull" movement, a strange sect of fundamentalism which believes that since children are a blessing from god, that one should not use any form of birth control, not even the freaking rhythm method.  "More pro-birth than the Pope" is probably a good short summary.

Farris, thankfully, did not become my homestate's lieutenant governor, as Democrat Don Beyer continually hammered Farris as a weird fundie who might damage the credibility of Virginia's best-in-the-south public schools.  Let's hope Jackson meets the same fate.
