  •  Lee had no chance to win at Gettysburg, due to (0+ / 0-)

    the combination of losing Vicksburg's supply line, and General Sherman's destroying the confederate's supply line through Georgia to Savanna. Because of these two actions by the Union, supplies were cut off to Vicksburg, between Vicksburg and Georgia and north of that. General Sherman and other union Armies then hurried to the north and surrounded Lee. One confederate regiment went the wrong way and never got to Gettysburg and one was in a fight with other union armies and never got to Gettysburg either.
