woman's issues.  The Democrats are being handed so many issues on a golden platter - now they need some fucking spine and start speaking for the rest of us.  LOUD!

The most violent element in society is ignorance.

I was shocked that, apparently the Democratic President/Senate did not have a "Plan B" ready to go immediately when the VRA decision was read.  It was NOT unexpected.  It seems like even the gutting the VRA did not set anyone's hair on fire in Washington.

The Democrats are being handed issues on golden platters.  But they'll dither around making pious pronouncements and complain about GOP obstructionism.  Finally, they'll take all their time coming to a consensus about what has to be done.  Things will move along at a snail's pace.  After all, why should Democrats get all worked up just because a group of RW extremists on the Supreme Court gutting the centerpiece of Democratic civil rights legislation.  Hell, Obama was "deeply disappointed".  I hope that bit of drama didn't hurt.

The moment for real dramatic action will have been lost.   Then Democrats wonder why there was an enthusiasm gap.  Give people something to get enthused over and they come out to vote in droves.
