      "being forgiven", and then acting as if they've never done one thing wrong in their lives, and both they and their supporters/enablers get mad if you insist on bringing it up as being "heartless," "unforgiving," and "hateful."

      Until, of course, they get caught "again."

        urging people to "forgive" unconditionally. I believe it's a dogma pushed by authoritarian religions to prevent people from focusing on their dissatisfactions.

          But confession that isn't self-serving is something that few have the courage for and certainly not many politicians.
