but you people here are in the throes of mass-hysteria.

It would be funny, if it wasn't diverting our attention and resources away from more important things.

So, yeah, this is the most important thing in their universe.

    •  I realize that this may seem a small matter... (3+ / 0-)

but it hardly seems a little thing when we're talking about defenestrating the 4th Amendment a piece at a time. If our baseline constitutional rights aren't important, then why do you cite as "important things" two issues that hinge on preserving 9th and 15th Amendment rights. Are some constitutional rights more important than others? Really?

Then, of course, there is the idea that somehow discussing and demanding action on one issue is "diverting" us from doing the same on another issue. That's a pretty silly charge, given the vast scope of this community and the rather serious attention it has given (including far more Front Page space) in this last week to the very issues you cite. I don't know about you, but I can hold more than one idea in my head at a time and work to do more than one thing at a time. This nonsense about "diverting our attention" is just egotistical garbage; not everyone cares only about your favored issues, even if you do and even if they agree with you about those issues. Many of us care about many things and do something about them without being "diverted" by any one of them.
