    People, people...

OPD and its masters effectively crushed a political movement with unprecedented violence.
Frankly, some have no sense of perspective.

The birth of labor unions saw much, much worse violence.

Unprecedented violence would have to one up events like Blair Mountain and the Ludlow Massacre when corporate goons were shooting at unarmed women and children with machine guns from armored cars.

Let's say "with the last three or four decades."

My perspective sees this small settlement as a very tiny payment, cost of doing business, to protect and continue the practice where the banksters are allowed to steal trillions of dollars of ill begotten gains from us.

Oakland authorities and others who participated in these brutalities paid a very small price for shutting down Occupy.  Wall St. wins again.

We need several millions of folks in the streets, like Egypt.  Two days ago, there were 17 million people in the streets in Egypt, according to Demoncracy Now and other news sources.  And yes, Egypt had many casualties.  I guess that is what it takes!
