  •  Thank you for this weekly compilation, MB, and for (13+ / 0-)

highlighting my diaries this week.  I'm starting to feel sorta at home around here!  :)

What I really love about your compilations are their refreshing scope and balance.  And not refreshing in the sense that other diaries aren't that way, but rather, refreshing to me personally because I tend to head straight to the diaries addressing all our pressing environmental ills related to climate change and resource issues.  It's such a delight to come here on Saturday and be able to absorb all the diaries about fish, forests, wildlife, and gardening that I passed right by earlier in the week and most likely would not have gone back to to see what I missed.

Thanks for reminding me how important it is to have balance in my life and making it so easy to help maintain that balance by having it all right there in front of me in one place once a week, MB.

it takes you to their profile page and there is a heart near their name i believe on the left which you click. it says 'follow' . then you can click on 'my page' when you come to DK or make my page your home page and you see the posts of all the folks you are following.

have you joined any groups yet? If not, will send you some invites.

you might want to join DK Greenroots for other eco diaries and there is a GOogle group which we use for admin and to send out notices to inform re eco diaries.

So far i'm just in the new diarists group.  Thanks for the other invites, i was hoping to get one from those groups somewhere along the line, but i am a rather timid person by nature and didn't want to just barge right in and ask for one.  Seemed rather inappropriate seeing as i just arrived here formally only two months ago.  :)  (Although i've been reading front page articles since the beginning.)  Thanks again, Ma'am!

great to see another smart and caring eco voice on dkos. Good to see boatsie is taking care of you already, couldn't think of a finer and wiser soul welcoming you into the waters.

              •  Thank you so much for the warm welcome and (0+ / 0-)

gracious compliments, Sir!  And, yes, i do seem to be in very capable hands here with boatsie!  I also noticed on her profile page that one of her hobbies is quantum mechanics and my geek alarms went off on high alert.  I go nuts over quantum field theory and am hoping there might be some group here where i can let loose with some Hamiltonians and Lagrangian Operators when i need a break from environmental concerns and can relax with some comforting equations that mostly have clear and simple solutions to the problems they pose (again, though, mostly).  As opposed to the world's, which are so, so often intractable.  Errg.  :/
