    Or so I heard it spelled out on NPR the other day.

    Your student loans don't have to be repaid until you are employed and meet an income threshold, $50,000 a year I think was the number they came up with. You pay on a sliding scale as your income increases.

    If you never make that kind of money, then you never have to pay back your loans - but most people do.

    Here's a link that gets into the details. It certainly sounds better than what we have here in the U.S.
