    Gorbachev wanted incremental change in order to build the institutions of a real democracy.  That drunk Yeltsin fucked it up so bad Russia ended up with an Oligarchy and a dictatorship.

    Remove that little twerp in North Korea, and leave the North Koreans to themselves, and I would bet a lot of money that a democracy won't fill that vacuum.

    Instead of blaming Americans for not supporting the overthrow of their 1st try at democracy, they should be Asking other democracies to come help build the institutions before their next election.

    You simply cant overthrow a dictator, while the dictators corrupt institutions are still in place, and expect a democracy to be able to grow.
