WE continue to buy into the partisan baloney; that one political party is significantly different/better than the other on major policy issues.

The problem is not with who is president at any given time, it's with the presidency itself. The office has been captured and is wholly owned by the Military Industrial Complex and Wall Street – in other words, the 1%. The transformation from presidential candidate to president involves knuckling under to these guys. It could hardly be more obvious.
"The office has been captured and is wholly owned...". Interesting choice of words! No, it's not the man in the office who is corruptible. corrupted by the long-entrenched system, it's just the office.

    Gimme a break, please.

Given the massive problems we face, focusing solely on the executive gets us nowhere.

I guess we've forgotten Sen. Durbin's observation not long ago, regarding Congress-- "the banks frankly run the place".

Forget the SCOTUS for a minute; if two of the major branches of government have been corrupted by the 1%, just how does anyone figure we have a truly democratic, representative system of government?

"The 1% don't want SOLUTIONS; they've worked very hard the last four decades to get conditions the way they are now".
