  •  The MM&A may be small BUT and it's a BIG BUT (0+ / 0-)

the CEO of the company was the CEO of the Wisconsin Central. He had 20 years with the former Chicago & North Western (now part of the Union Pacific RR). His name is Ed Burkhardt and he is very well known in the industry.

Here's info on the holding company's leadership.

My point is that this outfit is led by experienced railroaders. The safety record for MM&A may get linked to these guys.

While not all republicans are bigots, all bigots are republicans.

    •  I know of Mr. Burkhardt, (0+ / 0-)

And yeah, the MMA looks like a good line, one that wouldn't shirk on safety at all. In the rail industry you would have to be a complete fool not to be safety conscious or you won't have any employees or business quickly.

I looked at your link and the MMA's website, and yeah, they are good people with lots of experience.

      I'm tending towards a non-railroad problem.

And yeah, I know tarantulas don't really act like that at all, so no snarking, this is the internet damnit!
