Why a diary which is offensive in it's strawmanning, false dilemma, golden mean, appeal to emotion, and outright trolling should not be HR'd. I have never issued one, but this diary seems ripe due to it's level of offensive nonsense.

Only you and a few other highly offended people took it seriously enough to consider it worthy of HRs, perhaps?

Somebody has to do something, and it's just incredibly pathetic that it has to be us.

    •  is this offensive? (0+ / 0-)

Such is in the eye of the beholder and thus we are left with disagreements as life goes on.

      •  Indeed it is. (0+ / 0-)

I am simply wondering what caused the person I was replying to to adopt such drama over the idea of HR's. I always assumed that, much like UR's, they are matters of personal taste. But no, DRAMA.

        •  With just a few exceptions the HR is (0+ / 0-)

the closest thing emotional kossacks have to a taser.

Scour the hidden list and about 1/4 the comments - maybe - really should have been technically hidden. Spam, outright rightwing crap, CT stuff.

The rest of it -  the bulk - is petty-assed flamewars. 19 HRs 21 comments decrying the ned for the hr, whiny exchanges about meta and ad hom this and rude that laddering over to the right side of the page, endlessly.

Many people seem to make a point of wearing their sensitivity on their sleeve as if "I am more sensitive than you" is some sort of game.

        •  I love the swagger of the winning child. (0+ / 0-)

that is a swagger well-beyond his years.

If I had had even a third of that kids' training when I was a child, I'd not have been bullied the way I was.

I was 25 before I got into it.
