    as the Founding Father that I most admire.

    On three occasions, as Commander in Chief of the Continental Army, and President of the Constitutional Convention, and as the first President of the United States, Washington provided Leadership essential the creation of and independent United States of America that was also a Republic.

    Most of all, however, Washington distinguished himself by twice giving up power when he could easily have become something of an Emperor of America.  Contrast Washington's behavior after the American Revolution with Cromwell's behavior after the Puritan Revolution or Napoleon's behavior after the French Revolution.
