was perhaps one of my favorite shows that I never got to watch on TV. I caught the series a year after it had already been cancelled and became a "Browncoat". I lobbied to have it put back on the air. The libertarian bent of the show was interesting but I thought Joss couched it in very good terms. He offered shades of grey rather then starkly labeling the Alliance as being completely evil.  I always prefer nuance in telling these types of stories and I found it decidedly lacking in the Avengers.

Disks keep getting lost, or given to friends...

To me that show was what Star Wars SHOULD have been.   Course, I always preferred Han Solo in episode 4.

Full Disclosure:  I USED to be Libertarian.  And then I realized that Libertarians are closer to Badger than Captain Reynolds, IMHO.

I don't blame Christians. I blame Stupid. Which sadly is a much more popular religion these days.

Terrific parallels to the fascistic tendencies of the Earth government with their "Nightwatch" and the battle between the Vorlons and Shadows offers plenty of grey.  "We are the grey.  We stand between the candle and the darkness..." which may not be entirely accurate of a quote.  Anyway, I encourage you to try that series as well.
