  •  The proper fix for this was to make EVERY (2+ / 0-)

state fall under the law. In other words, preclearance = universal requirement.

Of course that's not what the "holier than thou" faction wants.
But they discriminate in Iowa and Illinois, in Indiana and Ohio, in New York and New Jersey and Pennsylvania and Hawaii and Oregon and Washington State and DC just like they do in Mississippi and Florida and Texas and New Mexico and California and Georgia and Nevada and Arizona and Utah and the Carolinas and Kentucky and Tennessee and Alabama and Louisiana and Kansas and Oklahoma and Missouri .... it's every freakin' where. In the Dakotas it's against First Nations folks. In Wisconsin it's everybody ALEC doesn't like.

Make the damn Voting Rights Act a universal law of the land.
"NO one shall be discriminated against in the opportunity to vote based on age, color, credit score, creed, gender or physical ability, and help shall be made available to all persons needing a translator or assistance with physically obtaining and filling out a voting ballot to reflect the voter's wishes."
