    --pass a law so each president appoints her choice of sitting Supreme Court justice to the chief position.

    --each FISA court judge must be approved unanimously by all the Supreme Court justice, including re-approval of present FISA judges.

      if nothing bars it in the Constitution, that might do some good.

    •  I go for the first one, however, the FISA court (3+ / 0-)

      should not exist in a democracy. Secret courts, secret requests, secret oversight, secret decisions, secret authorities, secret actions - none of that fits well in a democracy.

      If the US government is going to data-mine our citizens and those of other nations, we should have a discussion about that.  Frankly, I think it is hopeless program, vastly expensive and not very useful.  And having it in private hands is obscene.
