  •  I got it down to 2! (6+ / 0-)

I'd forgotten that Demi Moore was once roomies with my late friend Melanie, and I met her way back in the General Hospital days.

And that is as close as I can get, since I will probably never meet Kevin Bacon.

    •  I think there's a slight problem with (4+ / 0-)

the website.  Well, it's not much of a problem.  But I think it only includes acting credits.  I put in a big time screenwriter, and it gave me a Bacon number of infinity!  But I guess I can't assume that a screenwriter has met all (or even any) of the actors he wrote the film for.

      •  Yeah, true. (3+ / 0-)

The site doesn't even just do "met," since sometimes people working on the same film never meet. With your screenwriter, you'd have to check his credits and compare to Bacon.

I tried Obama, too, since I met him, and figured he has met just about every star by now, but same deal you got with the screenwriter.

I used to try to trick the oracle, but no matter how obscure the performer, they always had a Bacon number of at least 3. I blame John Wayne!

if you know Kyra Sedgwick, you're a two, and if you know Kevin Bacon, you're a one.  ;-)

I actually looked up Steve Zaillian (wrote the screenplay for Schindler's List), to see what my son Ted's Bacon number was.  He went to school with Steve's son Charlie and stayed at their house once.
