  •  defense case wraps up tomorrow (9+ / 0-)

hope the judge rejects the animation of the fight video that Z lawyers want to use.

in other news, read that the "angry trayvon" app was removed from stores (after going on sale last december) but developer claims it was not racist:

The developer of the game “Angry Trayvon” said the app has been removed from app stores after drawing complaints that the app was inappropriate and racist.

The game app featured a main character who wore a hooded sweatshirt and shared a name with Trayvon Martin, the 17-year-old who was shot and killed by a neighborhood watchman in Sanford, Fla., in February 2012. The Trayvon character in the game held a baseball bat and attacked other characters.

the animator now. I really don't see how the judge lets this in but IANAL or a judge. I think she is letting this play out so no one can claim she didn't give it a fair chance.

It's just too manufactured and by the animator's own admission has been altered again and again and the input for the "re-creation" was completely one-sided. I don't care that he did Iron Man and Avatar ( at least he claims to have...I have my suspicions about how involved he was) they were made up stories with creative license assumed.

Plus the guy just looks skeezy which means nothing legally but again, IANAL :) and get to have an opinion.

And while the TV talking heads seem to think that DiMiao was a huge win for the defense, I'm not convinced.

He never examined the physical evidence and his input was based on photos and corroboration of Dr. Bao's reports. Not that it's relevant but his testimony didn't help the defense in two prior high profile cases ( Drew Peterson and Phil Spector).

Sadly, people like Michael Eric Dyson are already calling this an acquittal .

We view "The Handmaid's Tale" as cautionary. The GOP views it as an instruction book.

      •  I agree. This animation was created BY THE (4+ / 0-)

DEFENSE, and is designed to plant images in people's minds, so that conscously or not they will have at least a certain level of assumption that this is how it happened.  If each side had done an animation -- well, maybe.  But having just one, it makes no sense to me that tht judge would allow it.
