    The Founders included many undemocratic elements, including slavery and excluding women from the vote.  And initially, US Senators were not chosen by popular vote - they were picked by the state governments.  Those were the bad old days.  Let's ask what would be most democratic today.

      Government and laws are the agreement we all make to secure everyone's freedom.
