if you're a Republican, you are also doing things like this..

Gov. Sam Brownback’s top officials with the Department of Children and Family Services have a revolutionary idea on how to reduce the number of children in poverty: Make parents pay more for child care.

As reported by the Kansas Health Institute, DCF Secretary Phyllis Gilmore, who also is chair of the Governor’s Task Force on Reducing Childhood Poverty, suggested that increasing the co-pays for subsidized child care would encourage parents to work longer hours and pursue workplace promotions.

Force people to have kids, them punish them for having them.

    •  Let me get my chin off the floor. Increase co-pays (0+ / 0-)

so you "encourage" parents to work longer hours? So they never see their kids? What kind of a fool would think that....oh nm Republican fools...yeah.

    •  Well, that is sorta the right idea. Reproduction (0+ / 0-)

should be tied to access to resources before making the decision to breed.
Problem is the Republican contradictory logic fails because women need access to reproductive healthcare to match breeding with availability of resources.
If women stopped having babies unless optimal, our society would institute more pro-family policies.
