I buy from the "Daily Deal" section for Kindle.

The one I'm reading now is The Secrets of Mary Bowser by Lois Leveen.  It is an historical novel based upon a real person, a woman who grew up as a slave in Virginia, was freed and educated in Philadelphia, and returned to the South as a spy during the Civil War, under the cover of being a slave.  Can you imagine the guts it would take to do that?  It's a rather long book and I haven't had much time to read -- so I'm still with Mary in Philadelphia.

I've also bought some cookbooks recently on my Kindle.  I didn't think I would like that but they are a lot less expensive -- and I've found it is easy enough to navigate through them if they are well indexed (and most are).  Ann and I recently gave up eating wheat and are mostly grain-free at this point, so finding good recipes on the e-reader is a boon.
