  •  I lived in Phoenix for 6.5 years (8+ / 0-)

Do you have any favorite historical persons - ones you have read books about, watched films about?

    Alfred Russel Wallace

What is the hottest temperature you have experienced? Was it dry or humid?

In July 1995 it reached 119 one day in Phoenix.  The next day it was 121 which was, at least at that time, the second highest temperature ever recorded in Phoenix.  However I was in Riverside, CA, that day where it was only about 110.  At those temperatures humidity is always low as the air's capacity to hold moisture is so high.

Inside our car when parked in a shadeless parking lot I'm sure the temperature probably got into the 130s at times.

Have you ever watched any silent films? Do you appreciate them?

I appreciate them more than I did.  I have this vivid memory of going to see L'Atalante in Chicago back in the 1990s after Jonathon Rosenbaum gave it a rave review in the Chicago Reader.  I was completely bored.  However I have quite enjoyed Chaplin and Lon Chaney (Sr) films as well as Metropolis and Nosferatu.

Ever been bit by a dead bee? Have you ever been stung by a bee at all?

Assuming you are not the reincarnation of Walter Brennan (in which case I would have answered yes) I can state pretty definitively that I have never been bit by a dead bee.  Given the nature of their mouthparts even the bite of a live bee would be pretty inconsequential.  However I have been stung by live bees a few times (and more often by wasps).
