    Gasoline boycotts are already happening, but directed at gasoline, not a specific company.

    Every time you see a Prius, or any of the high mpg modern diesels coming (finally) to the American market, or somebody riding a bicycle with a basket full of groceries, you are seeing a gasoline boycott of sorts at work.

    Not that it matters to the companies that extract, refine, or sell it. Apart from short-term hiccups, the expanding global market will take anything they can sell.
