    tweeting are completely different. When character limited, "textese" is appropriate. When not character limited, it doesn't make sense. Last I knew, it didn't cost a penny to spell a word out entirely.

    I can't imagine reading a novel in all abbreviates. It would drive me mad. I can read it, but I most definitely wouldn't, and would hope no one ever publishes one unless that is the point of the novel itself.

    I'd like to start a new meme: "No means no" is a misnomer. It should be "Only 'Yes' means yes." Just because someone doesn't say "No" doesn't mean they've given consent. If she didn't say "Yes", there is no consent.
