  •  It's certainly no stupider than your argument. (0+ / 0-)

If anything, the news about the video got buried in the avalanche of irrelevant cables. Of the people worldwide who have heard about the leak of the cables, how many do you suppose have also heard about the video? I'm guessing the percentage is in the low single digits. That's just about the worst way I can think of to get attention for something.

How many diplomatic cables had to be leaked to get people to pay attention to the atrocities at Abu Ghraib? Which incident do you think more people know about: Abu Ghraib, or the helicopter strike?

    •  I like how you ignored the rest (0+ / 0-)

of the information. That video was not the only thing revealed. And you don't seem to give a shit that the official policy of ignoring torture was revealed too. And Abu Ghraib was a bunch of pictures of partially naked people, of course it got a lot of press. Do you really not know how the press works?

If we're going to make up numbers then I'd say more people saw the video than know anything about the content of the other information he released.

If debt were a moral issue then, lacking morals, corporations could never be in debt.
