  •  Does she collect Alaska Permanent Fund Dividend? (15+ / 0-)

The state is damned, damned picky as to Perm. Fund eligibility. As it should be.

To qualify for the Permanent Fund, you have to be a state resident for a certain specific amount of time. You can do some other things to establish Alaska residency as well, such as registering to vote, be employed in the state, etc.

But time in state counts foremost.

The state allows vacations outside, visiting and caring for ill family members, job travel, etc. But you cannot be registered to vote outside, work outside, have a car registered outside, etc.

    So.

Does Sarah still collect her Perm. Fund check? If not, then the state has ruled that she's not a legal Alaska resident anymore.

    Or.

Does she still collect it? And if so, maybe some of our Alaska friends can do a bit of research as to the legal requirements for collecting the Fund check, and let's try to figure out if Palin and her family is collecting legally or not.
