  •  Business is concerned about climate change. (4+ / 0-)

It wants government to step up and do something!!!!

(because, well, heck, you didn't think most corporations were going to do something about it, did you?)

Fox knows where it's bread is buttered. It's never been "conservative." It's always been the mouthpiece for Rupert and his rich buddies. They're worried because erratic weather and measurable sea rise can actually affect profits, their nice beach homes and consequently, the premiums that Lloyds charges on those beachfront monstrosities.  So Fox is going to become concerned because public service, fair and balanced, whatever Shep says that sounds sort of reasonable.

And gosh darn it, that Kenyan brought hot African weather back from Kenya decades ago (the recent trip was just a booster). So it's Obama's fault.

So if you get hit by a bus tonight, would you be satisfied with how you spent today, your last day on earth? Live like tomorrow is never guaranteed, because it's not. -- Me.

and the insurance industry has been on board a long time -- have been saying this for what? Decades (since we were actually talking about ozone depletion before climate change was something we were completely aware of).

Doing nothing about climate change was going to cost WAY more than reasonable graduated change in behavior.

But nope! The energy industry in particular -- but not exclusively -- had its mouthpieces (especially those in Congress) screaming it would cost the American economy a fortune and would cost jobs.

Now they want to play catch-up.

position will be greatly enhanced- the greater the threat/emergency, the easier it will be (the greater the demand) for them to sell their centralized solutions- nukes, climate modification

You know, while we're sleuthing this out, I've also noticed that most Moozlim countries are ... well, let's just say they're on warm side, weather-wise.  I think that also proves definitively he's a terrorist sympathizer (which we all knew anyway, of course).

Do you want to send the tip to Roger or should I? ;)  I think I should give both Lauras a call....
