    Linux is NOT hard to "lock down". Ubuntu Linux, by default, doesn't answer on ANY ports externally. This is virtually unhackable remotely. Of course it's still vulnerable to anything YOU do on web pages and whatever vulnerabilities Firefox, Chrome or whatever browser you choose to use.

    A VM is only as secure as the underlying hypervisor. Period the end.

    There is no such thing as a 100% secure operating system or application. Does. Not. Exist.
