    See above comment with link to 7/11 surveillance video showing that the string was already fully extended while TM was at the store.

      To me, the string I see doesn't seem as long as in the photo, and I can't tell the length of the other string.  But, just for the sake of argument, supposing you are wrong, it still does not matter, unless there was evidence that Zimmerman initiated contact by pulling the hoodie.  That being the case, if Zinnerman was in a circumstance where he could legally defend himself by shooting a person dead, he could also also legally defend himself by pulling on a hoodie, and so the pulled hoodie string would not be evidence of any crime per se.

        But since the idea was proposed, I thought it important to clarify (and provide irrefutable evidence) that the string had obviously been fully extended long prior to the confrontation.
