    walk a mile in his shoes.  Because then when you judge him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes.

    (Just thought someone ought to play the role of Zimmerman'a attorney and start off with an inappropriate joke.)

    Seriously, though, thanks for sharing your story.  I concur in both your judgments.  This would be a better world if we would all strive not to let suspicion and fear overwhelm our sense of common humanity.

      nuthangerfarm did, in a way, walk a mile in Zimmerman's shoes, and ended up on the other side of a world of thinking from Zimmerman.  

      And nuthangerfarm, if you see this, thanks for your story.  And your simple humanity, something which George Zimmerman appears to lack.

      Is it courageous to propose tax cuts but not identify a single tax expenditure to rein in? Is it courageous to target your deepest cuts on the poorest Americans, who vote in lower numbers and provide little in campaign contributions?
