The part you copied is the sample of the hoax that they then go on to say is false.

as stated. Why else, just 3 weeks ago do we have this:

Mass. Democratic Rep.  Michael Capuano has introduced a bill, the We Are Watching You Act, to prohibit the technology on boxes and collection of information absent consumer permission. The bill would also require companies that do use the data to show “we are watching you” messages on the screen and to explain just what kinds of information is being captured and for what reasons, AdWeek reported.
Samsun held demos at trade shows in full view of the public and press where they premiered devices which
the devices themselves, more similar than ever to a personal computer, may allow hackers or even Samsung to see and hear you and your family, and collect extremely personal data.

While Web cameras and Internet connectivity are not new to HDTVs, their complete integration is, and it's the always connected camera and microphones, combined with the option of third-party apps (not to mention Samsung's own software) gives us cause for concern regarding the privacy of TV buyers and their friends and families.

...Samsung has only stated that it "assumes no responsibility, and shall not be liable" in the event that a product or service is not "appropriate."

Of course, we know that business and government have been working closely on monitoring now, and that's indisputable. Maybe Samsung, won't but the same product is being developed by Microsoft and Verizon

I take it you grant that the cellphones, and computers are capable of monitoring us in our homes. Add the tv's and desktop boxes to the list, poorly vetted cite aside.

With links and everything! "Informing" me!

      Oh my God!

What do you bet that deep down, Jim P really thinks Obama listens to his spanky spanky? I bet he does.

He said that it's not really Obama, but that it's lots of people "encouraged" by Obama. Please. Obama can ask those people for tapes at any time! And why wouldn't he? Absolute power corrupts absolutely!
