you feel that way. More to the point, I'm sorry you don't feel the necessity to do any research before you comment.

    •  What research did I miss doing? (0+ / 0-)

Your comment wasn't all that deep.

There are slums in Brazil so that means the USA will have Brazilian slums one day and this in turn proves that exaggeration and hyperbole is persuasive.

Guess what! I know shantytowns exist. That still ends up with your comment being a perfect example of unpersuasive writing.

Here. This is Providence, but wander around any large city and you'll find a tent city. I know Fort Worth had a large one out around East Lancaster Street.
Britain has problems, but not like this.

        •  Despite the fact this is all logical fallacy (0+ / 0-)

I counter your link withthis one

Then I add that NONE OF THIS SAYS A SINGLE THING about the fact hyperbole and exaggeration is not persuasive. I know people think that the more outlandish the statement equals the more persuasive the statement. But more often than not it does the exact opposite. Since this is my point I will repeat it.

Hyperbole and exaggeration is not persuasive.
