    So get rid of the "must take lower bids" strictures.  Problem solved.

    And it's not foreign corporations deciding our laws, it's us agreeing not to discriminate against foreigners in exchange for them not discriminating against our suppliers.  Non-discrimination seems pretty fair to me.

      You mean Americans have to dance to whatever tunes corporations call. Go about changing our own perfectly sensible laws to circumvent a crooked trade agreement?

      We should live on our knees before corporations... why?

      And it bloody well is foreign corporations telling American citizens what they can and cannot pass as law.

      Otherwise, there'd be no penalties for passing "must buy American-made" laws.

      Some people might feel okay with being manipulated and coerced, but then those people like being subjugated, I guess.

        The government writes the laws.  No corporation has the power to tell you what law you can or can't pass.  If you don't like the laws, go vote for someone else.

        Some people just don't like discriminating against others just because they're foreigners.  What's the world coming to, right?
