Opinions here, but what matters is that in the context of the present, Snowden has certainly broken the law.

Overriding that issue--also given the context of the present--is whether Ed Snowden should be held responsible for stealing government property, etc., while torturers and banking criminals not only walk free, but prosper, while the same government that charges Snowden is run by the lairs, grifters, and authoritarians who created the globally odious Security State in the first place.

Given my choice of criminals, I'll take Snowden.

It's that the powerful cannot reasonably do massive evil with impunity while criminalizing those who expose them.  I'd be more than happy to see the lairs, grifters, and authoritarians who run the country on trial.  Biggest criminals fist, though.

Which laws do you refer to that he has he broken?  And why do you think the laws were broken?

It's difficult to be happy knowing so many suffer. We must unite.

The legal system as it exists in the present will say he's broken the law.
